Capacity building and internet training for Imams phase 2
On 15/may 2009 Women Empowerment Organization in cooperation with DIAKONIA and under direct supervision of the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs started phase 2 of Capacity building and internet training for Imams, so far 6 sessions have been held for sub-districts of Erbil city. The trainings were held in the Ministry hall inside the ministry building. The trainings were aiming at raising the human rights awareness and IT skills of the imams so that they will be able to disseminate these ideas in their occasional speeches and Friday congregations. The trainings were given by competent trainers and academic scholars, who are specialized in both Islamic rules and the fundamental principles of human rights.

Furthermore, during Ramadan 3 radio programs on NAWA, Ashty, and Zahmatkeshan, been prepared with 4 TV show on Nawroz Satellite inviting most popular law and human right expertise.
